iRace iSUP Package - 12'6"

31 review(s)

An "On the go" SUP racing/touring board that's also lightning fast. At 12'6" long and 6" thick, this is a revolutionary inflatable design. Originally designed for the jet-setting SUP-racing crowd, the Tower iRace inflatable SUP package is also ideal for anyone that just wants a crazy fast flat-water touring board.

This package includes:

  • A 3-piece adjustable fiberglass SUP paddle
  • A high-pressure hand pump

2-Year Warranty on iSUPs (does not apply to included accessories)

Note: A typical iSUP package of this quality would retail in a store for $1375.

Introducing the 12'6" Tower iRace SUP Package

Includes a 12'6" by 30" by 6" inflatable SUP, a 3-PC Fiberglass Paddle, a high-pressure SUP pump, and a high-end Tower branded diamond grooved deck pad, a fin box with a removable center fin, a hand hold strap, a roll-up carrying strap, a towing ring on the nose, and a leash attachment ring on the tail.

A New Design for Speed and Distance

It will shock you how fast the 12'6' Tower iRace inflatable paddle board is. This board is made for racers or recreational paddlers who still want the speed of a race board. At 12'6", it will cut through choppy water. If you're near an open ocean or larger lake, having a longer board will make it easier for you to paddle farther distances. This board is also a bit narrower than our other models, so it is a bit more streamlined for those out there who want to race with it. As SUP grows, you see more and more inflatable boards in races. We believe this design, with the pointed nose, narrower width and 6" thickness will be the go-to board for racers out there.

Even with all the benefits of a race board, that doesn't go to say recreational paddlers can't handle this board. If you're looking for a board faster than our all-around Adventurer, but a bit more compact than the exceptionally speedy Xplorer, this is the board for you! It has tons of volume and stability for everyday users. At 12'6", the added length also helps stabilize taller riders who may feel a bit wobbly on a shorter board.

Amazing Rigidity

Be weary of newer boards made with the fused process. While they may be lighter, they lose rigidity and durability in this newer construction process and are much lower quality boards overall.

The Tower iRace Inflatable SUP is made from extremely rugged materials like those you'd find on the highly regarded Zodiac boats and extreme river rafts. The amazing rigidity in the iRace is created by thousands of vertically oriented strands of identical length that connect the top deck to the bottom. When inflated, they form a structure that has the rigidity of a piece of plywood, and the thicker you go the exponentially more rigid it gets. You'll be amazed. We can literally put the front tip of the 12'6" Tower iRace on one chair and the rear tip on another chair and a 200 lb person can stand in the middle and you can barely see the thing flex.

A Viable EPS/Epoxy Board Alternative - We're not kidding!

Traditionally, inflatable SUPs were only a consideration for traveling - store one in the cuddy cabin on your yacht, take it with you on the plane, or haul it into that secret mountain lake or river and you can stand up paddle board in the farthest corners of the earth. With the combination of speed and rigidity of the Tower iRace, an inflatable SUP is hard to beat on flatwater with anything less than a full-fledged racing hard board... and don't be surprised if it outperforms a few of those.

Benefits of an Inflatable SUP over an EPS/Epoxy board

  • Easier to store - When rolled up, it's 1 foot in diameter and 35" wide.
  • Indestructible - Never worry again about dings and board cracks. I've literally thrown these things off a 2nd story deck and I frequently set it down anywhere (gravel, a parking lot, even on cement stairs).
  • Easier to transport - No need for roof racks. About the size of a rolled sleeping bag, it easily fits in any car or boat, and can even be strapped onto a bicycle or motorcycle. You can even take it on a plane.
  • Softer - You can literally play bumper boats with these. Kids can jump from one board to the other like they're jumping on an inner tube. You won't get knocked out in the waves either.
  • Easy on the feet - While very rigid, the air does cushion your feet a lot more than a hard board, no matter how good the deck pad is.
  • Less expensive - Which also makes it a great idea as a second board for travel or guests.

I just tried it for the first time today, but it was incredibly easy to set up and I'm loving it so far!

Maneuverable and fast

Review by: from on 9/5/2017
Love this inflatable board. Easy to transport and inflate, and very maneuverable. It was at first a little unstable on a choppy day in Santa Cruz but didn't take long to get used to. Took it up to Lake Tahoe and the whole family was able to quickly have fun on it.

Love my SUP!

I absolutely love my SUP! It's light, tracks extremely well. Stable. I have not deflated it since day one. Super firm, and my friends could not tell it was inflatable.

Very Happy

I ordered 2 x iRace iSUP Package 12'6" to Greece and was very happy with Tower's customer service as I had issues with the local customs and the Tower's team were very fast at responding and helping with what was needed.

Great deal. Great products. Hand pump trouble past

Review by: from on 6/1/2017
Arrived quickly and with free shipping.

I have been out once. And noticed the supplied hand pump quickly inflated the board to 11-12 psi. When I was out on the water it still felt soft. I am 6'1 200, but even lighter , smaller riders (5'6 155) said the same. The pump wouldn't allow me to put much more air into it. I will be getting an electric pump soon. Despite this all the smaller riders said they wanted to get their own due to the easy of transport and storage. I also purchased one of the Tower back pack iSUP bags with the money I 'saved ' buying the package deal. The included 3 part fiberglass travel paddle is great too.

Excellent SUP

Review by: from on 5/22/2017
The board is excellent. I enjoy being able to roll it up and take it anywhere. It only takes about 5 minutes to set up and get on the water. I can't wait to use it for some races coming up.

Tower is Awesome!

Review by: from on 5/16/2017
Hey all, we just bought our 9th paddle board from Tower and we are stoked! They are the best in all categories, web, ordering, delivery, price and best of all in product. These are fantastic paddle boards and I have probably sold another 50 or so with people asking about them. We have had them in Tahoe, Folsom Lake, Hawaii, San Diego and take them crabbing and and for abalone on the north coast of Cal. I could not more highly recommend this company and product. Go Tower!

May be the best SUP bargain out there

Review by: from on 5/3/2017
I have the iSUP race and its proven to be a great board. Hopped on various rigid boards of friends and don't feel I'm missing out on speed. Plus, the inflatable takes a beating on rocks, gravel, driveway pavement etc. and still looks new. So I bought another for one my step-daughter.

Expectations Exceeded

Review by: from on 4/6/2017
Does it perform as well as a "hard" board? No... Will I use it the next time I do Sea Paddle NYC (a SUP excursion around Manhattan)? No... Is it awesome in terms of its intended purpose? Yes... I live in Maine and have already taken it to both Cali and Florida. It checked through baggage just fine. (And I stuffed wetsuit, booties, and PFD all in the same bag with the board, paddle, and pump.) From the time I parked at water's edge, I was up and paddling within 10 minutes. You trade off some performance in the interest of convenience, but at the same time the performance far exceeds what I expected. very happy with the purchase.

Not just a fun board

I thought when I got my standup paddleboard that that was all I was going to get. But I also got a bunch of great and professional people who love to Paddleboard as much as I do. This is a great company. Thanks

what a blast

we bought this iSUP after we planned a vacation to the Dominican Republic with the intention of taking it along to be able to paddle on the Caribbean and avoid having to pay to rent a board when we got there. The board packed well and when checked it came in well below the weight for luggage at the airport and it arrived without issue and no damage. After a quick 15 minute inflation we were ready to go. We spent the next 10 days paddling in and around Las Terrenas and Punta Cana in the DR. Taking the sup was a great idea and this board was great for it. Once you got out past the waves as they crashed the beach you can paddle and go for as long as you wanted. The board was fast and stable on the open ocean. The black does get a bit hot when its in the sun on the beach so be mindful of that. The upside of the black is that it looks pretty stealthy in the water or on your car. Overall a great buy and a very quality board. Have iSUP will travel.

Great for flatwater

This is a great inflatable! I also bought the electric pump which uses either the car battery or the cigarette lighter. It works beautifully!

The IRace is a great family board. It's safe, fun and we've had 5 teenagers standing on it and having great fun. I took it to a 5-mile downwind trip and it felt great. I don't race so I couldn't say how it compares with other 12'6" boards but it threads smoother and faster than its smaller cousins Adventurers. Great board family for beginners and cruisers.

Awesome awesome awesup aweSUP!

Fantastic inflatable boards (I have both the iRace and 14ft Explorer, love'm both. They look and perform wonderful. Inflatables are so much more convenient than hard boards, both during transport and storage.

I'm a huge fan of Tower and their excellent products!

Great Board

Review by: from on 7/7/2016
Love the board as it matched all descriptions and performs as well as stated! I had not paddle boarded previously but found the iRace stable and lightning quick (much faster than the cheap kayaks I had previously used). The paddle was as-described and functions well. The pump was great too - very easy to use and board inflated in no time.

Very happy with the shopping experience and others have commented on the quality of the board - even those who initially thought an inflatable board would be problematic.

I can't say enough good things about the company and the products I have purchased. Timely shipping, easy to use inflatable paddle boards, customer service is phenomenal. Had a glue packet damaged during shipping and they replaced the order and shipped it out within hours, no questions asked. *****

12'6 iRace is perfect

Review by: from on 7/3/2016
I am a person who does a lot of research, reads blogs, reviews, etc. before making a significant purchase, especially since most good inflatable boards are 1200+. Tower came up during my research and thought I would give them a chance, I couldn't be happier. I got the 12'6 iRace and it works perfect. stays flat in the water. Works great. I use it on lakes around Utah and on vacation in Southern California.

I liked it so much I ended up buying a 10'4 Adventurer 2 so someone can come with me. I like that one was well.

You aren't going to win any races on an inflatable but you can't beet the convenience of transport and storage. Great way to get on the water.

Only thing I would like on the iRace is a couple of more eye hooks, but I just purchased them separately. Also, I got the electric pump so I am not tired before I start, especially when I have two to pump up.

Highly recommend, high quality board and half the price of the other top boards.

great board and paddle

this is my second Isup from Tower. I liked the 9'10 adventurer so much I got the Irace when the annual sale came around. It is fast and light, performs well in the mangrove canals of s florida as well as in light surf. I use it for fishing and touring. one thing I like about the inflatables is that they can be banged around a bit in transit with no dings or damage.
